Todd McLellan / Reverse Engineered Art

Tod McLellan makes an art form out of deconstructing vintage technology, and modern technology alike, and then carefully arranging it, and photographing the result.

I adore how he arranges each individual nut and bolt, and retaining the parts of each component within each other, like all of the spokes and wheel parts are contained within the confines of the wheel frame itself, He seems to arrange his deconstructions in an order that would reflect it’s constructed self, you can see this with the bike again, how the frame sits in the middle of the mass of pieces, the seat and handlebar at the top, and the chain, gears and pedals are all situated at the bottom, where they would naturally sit on a bike. It’s beautiful.
